"Pass and Move to Score" Task Outline
Tactical Problem:  Passing and then finding and moving to open space in order to advance towards target.
Skill Objective:  Passing the soccer ball using the in-step of the foot, and moving to open space to receive pass.

  • Passing and moving to open space

  • Move quickly to open space to receive pass
  • Make quick, accurate passes to open space
  • Verbal communication by player with the ball

  • Group of 2 line up along end line of grid
  • Must score on 3 different nets as quickly as possible
  • When done, kneel on one knee
Extending Task:
  • Must pass to partner on other side of net
  • Increase number of nets to score on
Simplifying Task:
  • Decrease number of nets to score on
